Minitutorial how to configure OpenERP email server to generate CRM cases automatically


I have put together a small tutorial for internal use that I thought might be of interest to you as well. This is how to configure the fetchmail module of OpenERP 6.0 for the automatic creation of different elements in the CRM.

In the example of the video tutorial, I have created an “info @ any” account in such a way that any email sent to that account will automatically create a lead / initiative in OpenERP.

Likewise, you can make the same link or automation using different email accounts to create different elements in the CRM. For example, you could associate a helpdesk case or incident to “helpdesk @ anyone” or an administrative complaint case to “administration @ anyone”.
